EMPLOYMENT AND ADVICE FAIR (Europe and Ireland)
26th & 27th NOVEMBER 2010 - Marshes Shopping Centre, Dundalk

The International Employment Services of FÁS, together with FÁS North East Region are working in association with the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce and Marshes Shopping Centre, Dundalk, to organise a Regional/National and European Employment and Advice Fair.  The event takes place on Friday 26th November 2010 (4.00pm to 8.00pm) and Saturday 27th November 2010 (11.00am to 5.00pm) in Marshes Shopping Centre, Dundalk.

The event will be attended by local employers and locally based Employment Advice Agencies. A number of European Member State countries will be at the event with EURES Advisers (specialists in international recruitment) from Austria, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Norway, Slovakia, Sweden, UK and others available to advise those interested in employment and career development options in their countries. It will also be an opportunity for nationals from these countries to see what opportunities are available in their home countries.

The following vacancies in Ireland will be available at the event: Waiters, Chefs, Stewardesses, English Language Teachers, Telecommunications (self employment opportunities), Sales & Marketing in Health Sector and Franchise opportunities. In Europe we have vacancies for Concrete Worker, Shuttering Carpenter, Roofer, Carpenter, Plasterer, Road Painter and Civil Contractor (Netherlands); Accountants, Computer Scientists Engineers, Nurses, Construction Workers (Belgium); Medical Doctors, Dentists, IT Programmers, Finance and Associate Professionals (Czech Republic); Vacancies in Medical & Hospitality Sectors (Germany); Head Waiter, Chefs, and Waters (Norway); among others.

The event will also host a CV Clinic - free of charge. A PowerPoint presentation will take place every hour followed by an opportunity to get an objective critique of your CV. The critique will include constructive feedback on the content, format and structure of clients CVs.

A further feature of this event will be Start Your Own Business. Subject matter experts will be available to give advice on enterprise and entrepreneurship together with information on business start-up. Additionally, all of the personnel on the individual European stands are equipped to give similar advice from their own countries.

Irish Advice and Welfare Agencies will also be represented including Agencies dealing with Social Welfare, Taxation, Education and Housing.

The event will take place in Marshes Shopping Centre and will be open on Friday 26th November from 4.00pm until 8.00pm and Saturday 27th November from 11.00am until 5.00pm.
