Notes
- The minimum payment to a Job Initiative participant is € 416.00
- Administration/materials/overheads equates to a maximum of 8% of the grant.
- Training and development equates up to 4% of the grant.
- Persons over 35 years of age, unemployed and in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance / Jobseekers Benefit or those on Lone Parents allowance for at least 5 years are eligible. This programme was closed to new entrants in November 2004.
- The child dependent allowance portion of any social welfare payment may be retained for 13 weeks, or alternatively, the participant may qualify for Family Income Support if they have children.
- Medical Cards can be retained for 3 years.
- Entitlements to holidays, sick leave, maternity leave, grievance and disciplinary procedures and taxation apply, as in other full-time jobs.
- Participants may also be entitled to Revenue Job Assist (the Job Initiative supervisor will explain this on commencement).
