New FETAC Major Awards at levels 3 and 4

FÁS Community Services has developed three FETAC major awards, two at level 3 and one at level 4, designed to meet the training needs of learners participating on Community Services programmes.

They provide certification for learners who may progress to higher levels and also for those whose principal achievements may rest at these levels.

The new major awards, at levels 3 and 4, were developed by a working group and involved extensive consultation with staff, management and second providers in the regions.

Each award comprises a number of modules which the learner can achieve at their own pace and accumulate over time towards one of the FETAC major awards at levels 3 and 4.

The flexible format of the awards will allow for the construction of a programme of learning specifically designed to address the learning needs of the individual learner.

There is a series of brochures developed to provide detailed information on each of the three awards which can be obtained from your regional Community Services office.
