The Three Levels of Excellence
There are three levels of achievement. The level of excellence achieved depends on the number of points accumulated.

The Excellence Through People Standard has three different levels of assessment so it can cater for the needs of different organisations at different levels and stages of development.
The higher levels were added to take account of views from organisations that the Standard should incorporate ‘higher’ levels for those organisations which wanted stretch factors.
Whilst all organisations are assessed against the Eight Core Criteria framework:
- At the Standard Level organisations undertake assessment against 35 questions and must attain a minimum score of 80% in each of the eight criteria and an overall score in excess of 80%
- The Gold Level assessment is against 61 questions and must attain a score of 80% in each the eight criteria and an overall score in excess of 80%
- The Platinum Level against 92 questions and attain a score of 80% in each of the eight criteria and an overall score in excess of 80%
