ReferNet Ireland AGM 2010
The annual meeting of the national ReferNet Consortium took place in FÁS on 1st June. The meeting was opened by Mr Terry Corcoran, FÁS Director of Planning and Research who welcomed the delegates. Speakers included Mr Tony Donohoe (IBEC) from Cedefop's Governing Board; Dr Séamus McGuinness of the ESRI who spoke about the recent Cedefop report ‘The skill matching challenge’; Ms Jasmina Behan, FÁS who discussed the latest FÁS/ESRI occupational forecasting study (see link to report on members’ noticeboard page); and Ms Margaret Barry who gave an outline of the Irish VET policy report. Mr Brian McCormick outlined the requirements of the Work Programmes for 2010 and 2011 and looked forward to receiving Consortium support in their implementation. See contributions below:
