Community Training Centres

  • SOLAS works in partnership with 38 Community Training Centres (CTCs) to provide community based training for early school leavers as part of the national Youthreach programme. Community Training Centres are independent, community-based organizations which provide training and related supports for early school leavers primarily aged between 16 – 21 years who have left school with no formal or incomplete qualifications. Learners in CTCs develop individualised learning plans and participate in personal, social and vocational skills training and development leading to major awards on the National Framework of Qualifications.

  • The Community Training Centres are the SOLAS response to the Youthreach measure. See full details on Eligibility.

SOLAS provides a  Training Allowance to participants at the Community Training Centres and the training is certified leading to recognised awards on the National Framework of Qualifications.

There are 38 Community Training Centre Locations around the country.

If you would like any more information about the Community Training Centres, contact your local Employment Services Office.
