CSCS Registration
Operators who have successfully completed a CSCS Programme and have been awarded FETAC certification are eligible to apply for a CSCS registration card. Operators may add further categories to their cards by successfully completing additional programmes.
Registration cards are valid for a period of five years from the date first trained.
Applications for registration cards, together with a passport-sized photograph (signed on the reverse) should be submitted to:
FÁS Services to Business,

Registration Card Fee
The fee for a CSCS Registration Card (and Replacement card) is €23.
Should an operator lose a card or have it stolen, they should contact their local Employment Services Office or lo-call number 1850 66 77 66 for a replacement card application form.
Renewal of Registration Cards
In April 2006, FÁS introduced a new system for the renewal of registration cards. Operators are issued with a logbook which will enable them to record details relating to:
- Experience
- Employment
- Training
- Tasks (to be completed in a safe and competent manner)
Operators will be required to apply for renewal by submitting the necessary application form together with a summary of their work experience during the period concerned.
Recognition of Registration Cards
The Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) and Construction Skills Register (CSR) - Plant Operator Registration Cards are recognised as being equivalent to the FÁS Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Plant Operator Registration Card. This applies to Experienced Operator Registration Cards.
