Screen Training Ireland
FÁS Screen Training Ireland is a state-funded national training and development resource specifically created for Ireland’s film and television industry. It is a unique resource for the Irish screen industry, offering training by professionals for professionals.
It was established in 1995 to provide continuing training and career development opportunities for professionals in the independent film and television sector, and is founded on a collaborative approach with the industry.
Screen Training Ireland partners with a network of professionals, both locally and internationally, to identify, design and deliver customised, state-of-the-art training. The key to its programme development is being able to offer practitioners and companies training which will enhance their expertise in film, television, animation and digital media. A wide range of training courses are available of varying duration in all occupational areas.
Screen Training Ireland benefits from an international certification agreement.
Screen Training Ireland is funded by FÁS, The Irish Film Board (Bord Scannán na hÉireann), and fee income. FÁS also has a bursary award scheme for experienced Irish industry professionals.
