Finding the Right People
Employers can advertise company information and job vacancies on Jobs Ireland and at the same time, can view and retrieve jobseekers’ CVs, arranged by criteria such as occupation type, education level, driving licence and location.
Employers have the option of selecting the best local talent or conducting a Europe-wide search. Through the European Commission’s EURES system, employers can gain access to a databank of European jobseekers wishing to work in Ireland.
The Practicalities
In practice, there are 2 ways to go about advertising to jobseekers on Jobs Ireland. Employers can either phone the vacancy details to the National Contact Centre at freephone 1800 611 116 / telephone: 046 973 8000, or they can input the vacancy details directly onto the Jobs Ireland Website and manage the responses from jobseekers themselves. Employers can make contact by the selected candidates’ preferred method.
If the vacancy is not filled by jobseekers contacting the employer independently, Employment Services will provide a list of candidates from the register of jobseekers, who match the vacancy specification.
