Finding the Right Job

Jobs Ireland allows jobseekers to search for employment by a 'push and pull' system.

The Push

Jobseekers may post their Curriculum Vitae (CV) online and update it as and when required (see a Step by Step Guide). The CV can be kept 'open' or 'closed' to make the name and address visible or confidential respectively. The CV can be viewed by any potential employer using the Jobs Ireland database, with the information accessible by criteria such as occupation type, education level and location. Employers can then make contact by the jobseekers' preferred method of either email or systems message. Jobseekers can request an alert as new vacancies are posted.

The Pull

Irish jobseekers can find hundreds of employers advertising vacancies on Jobs Ireland, listed by occupation, location or date posted. Registered jobseekers can easily conduct a search of these vacancies using their own criteria and preferences. This can be done by phone, online or from any of the Jobs Ireland kiosks located in Employment Services offices throughout the country.
