Asperger Syndrome

Asperger Syndrome is a complex brain disorder related to Austism. Although there are many individual variations, those with this condition relate very poorly to people. Language development is often delayed and it can be used in an inappropriate way.

People with Asperger Syndrome can have poor understanding of non-verbal communication and can have particular interests which can be pursued to extreme.

Aspire is an information and an educational based organisation. It organises conferences, courses, and seminars throughout the year. It runs a five-day telephone helpline, it publishes a quarterly newsletter and lobbies the Government and agencies for better services. They promote and support research into Asperger Syndrome.
